In statistics, regression analysis is utilized as a tool to measure the dependency between variables. In view of the fact that regression is utilized to evaluate the significance of the relationship between variables, i.e. degree of confidence that the actual relationship (acquired from results) is close to the approximated relationship (hypotheses); we will be able to explore the current situation and issues (problems) for sustainable coastal residential development.

Reliability and Validity of the results

Questionnaire will be carried out by using the same procedure for all the subjects, so dissimilarities amid responses can be credited to authentic dissimilarities in the studied sample and not to characteristics of either the measuring-instrument or the measuring-procedure. Furthermore, this research has a purpose of furthering current coastal residential development instead of simply meeting the objectives of this study. It is hoped that this study will increase the knowledge of current practice and offer a solid foundation for future development.
